報告內容簡介:
Recentlynew 3D printers that print continuous fiber composites have been commerciallyavailable. This presentation shows recent development of 3D printed compositesand current trend of 3D printed composite products. This presentation includesresearch results of Tokyo Institute of Technology such as evaluations ofstrength of 3D printed composites in various orientations, fiber twistingeffect during printing, fiber placement optimizations, self-sensing of 3Dprinted composites and novel snap-in joints. The presentation will show thefuture trend of 3D printed composites.
報告人簡介:
Dr. Akira Todoroki received hisbachelor degree in 1984, master degree in 1986 and Ph.D. in 1990, from TokyoInstitute of Technology, Japan. After employed as a researcher of MitsubishiHeavy Industry in Nagoya Aircraft Work and Visiting researcher in University ofFlorida, he is now working at Tokyo Institute of Technology as a professor. Heis a senior member of AIAA and Fellow member of JSCM and JSME. Also, he is the editorialboard member of “Journal of Composite Materials”, “Composites” and “InternationalJournal of aeronautical and space sciences”. His study focuseson 3D printed composites, optimizations of composite structures and self-sensingmethod for delamination monitoring of graphite/epoxy composites.
