報告簡介:
In recent years, lightweight composite structures have been applied to airplanes and automobiles. However, damages occurring inside the composite materials are too complex to be detected by conventional inspection methods. Hence, industries expect the practical realization of structural health monitoring (SHM) systems and the improvement of non-destructive inspection (NDI) techniques suitable for composite structures. For the health diagnostics of the composite structures, we are also developing SHM systems with optical fiber ultrasonic sensors and NDI techniques based on ultrasonic guided waves. In this presentation, I would like to introduce our recent research topics, such as a remote measurement of AE signals in composites using high-sensitive optical fiber sensors, SHM methods with Lamb waves for damage detection in CFRP structures, and application of laser ultrasonics and nonlinear ultrasonics to NDI of advanced composites in aerospace structures.
