Functionally graded (FG) sandwich structures are a class of novel sandwich structures. They are proposed to eliminate mechanically and thermally induced stresses due to the material property mismatch in conventional sandwich structures. The commonly used FG sandwich structures can be divided into two types: type-A, sandwich structures with FG face sheets and homogeneous core; type-B, sandwich structures with homogeneous face sheets and FG core. In practice, sandwich structures are always subjected to both mechanical and thermal load. Their mechanical behaviors in such conditions should be concerned. In this talk, the bending and buckling behaviors of FG sandwich plates are analyzed. A four-variable plate theory and a five-variable plate theory are extended to this study. The influence the stretching effect in bending is discussed. In addition, the relationship between the mechanical load and thermal load when buckling occurs is demonstrated.

李棟棟,講師,2012年6月和2018年6月在南京航空航天大學分別獲得學士和博士學位,專業(yè)工程力學。2016年11月-2017年11月受國家留學基金委資助赴法國圖盧茲大學聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)一年。2018年9月入職南京航空航天大學交叉研究院。目前研究方向為新型夾層結(jié)構(gòu)的力學行為分析、多孔材料結(jié)構(gòu)力學等,以第一作者發(fā)表SCI論文5篇,為Thin-Walled Structures、Materials Science & Engineering C等期刊審稿人。
